about me
Lifelong resident, proud to call North Ridgeville my home
JASON JACOBS
Thank you for visiting my website. It’s certainly hard to believe that four years have gone by since I kicked off my last City Council campaign. During my time on Council, I’ve moved our great city forward by taking a commonsense approach to understanding issues and concerns and using sound judgment to benefit the greater good of our community.
As a lifelong resident of North Ridgeville, it is an honor and privilege to represent over 37,000 people that live here. As a sophomore in high school, I began working as a part-time dishwasher at O’Neill Healthcare, headquartered in North Ridgeville, and have remained with this company in various capacities for over 29 years! My education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Kent State University (earned through the Lorain County Community College University Partnership Program), and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Cleveland State University. Today, as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, I now serve as the Director of Ancillary Services for all six O’Neill Healthcare senior campuses on Cleveland’s westside.
After getting married, my wife Veronica and I decided to remain in North Ridgeville to raise our family, which has grown to five children and recently two grandchildren.
For the last 16+ years, I have been an active member of, and often held leadership roles in, various North Ridgeville organizations, including:
- City Council, as President of Council,
- Planning Commission,
- Tax Abatement Review Board,
- Ridgeville Ready! Master Plan Steering Committee,
- Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors,
- Senior Center Advisory Board,
- Hampton Place Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors, and
- Saint Peter Parish
I have been dedicated and committed to supporting my community for many years!
I was first appointed to North Ridgeville City Council in 2021 to fill a vacant seat and was then elected by the people of North Ridgeville for a four-year term. My fellow-Councilmembers selected me, among my peers, to serve as City Council President since my election. I am now seeking re-election with the hope of using my EXPERIENCE to continue serving you and our community in the years to come!
